Chaos! Chaos! Chaos!
God is dead.
It's the end of morality.

Save us! Save us! Save us!
We've been fed
a heroic dose of reality.

And with this information,
who can blame them?
They can’t wade through it.
But we can’t close our eyes.

We can still strive for the ideal.
The people of this planet once made an appeal
hoping the stars would reveal

some order to the chaos.
Find the cages
to hold our demons.

Decided, to save us,
we‘d find a stasis
rejecting reason.

So we wrote some stories
depicting glory for the righteous,
and most were satisfied.

But there were those who would not look away,
and their numbers were growing with each passing day.
They created a method to prove what they knew
so centuries later we could agree on what is true.

Don’t give up.
We can find some common ground.
We’re out of touch.
Men of reason shut the mystics down.
Don’t give up.
No reason that we can’t align.
If we work together we might survive.

We can still strive for the ideal. (Don't give up.)
